the builders plate fixed to G2, 535 loco which is sadly out of use at the back of Kandy shed. It shows that this fine North British loco was built in 1951.

Brush Bagnall M1, 560 seen inside the running shed at Dematagoda. The loco has been repainted since I last saw it about 7 years ago. There is much interest in restoring this fine engine back to running condition.

9 Oct 09. M2, 591 is in the running shed at Dematagoda. This is loco that was famously caught up in the Tsunami at Hikkaduwa. After it was repaired it was given this special paint scheme with waves on top of the blue band.
